How we helped David Lister Grammar School
This Hull-based grammar school required approximately 30 interactive whiteboards to provide students with state-of-the-art teaching technology.
Our customer's requirements:
- To improve on the previous poor whiteboard service (and support) received from another supplier
- To enrich the learning experiences of students by encouraging their involvement in lessons.
Our solution involved:
We supplied and installed TDS Promethean ACTIVboards, including all cabling, trunking and electrical work. The TDS ACTIVboard is BECTA approved and more education-orientated than any other whiteboards. They feature a ACTIVote student response system and ACTIVslate wireless tablet to help every student participate in lessons, along with an ACTIVpen enabling teachers and students to interact with the software.
Projectors supplied in Hull
We also supplied Hitachi, NEC and Sanyo projectors for use with the boards, all safely protected by security cages to prevent potential damage or theft.
Classrooms are noisy, with very bad acoustics, so we installed Rameses 50s bookshelf speakers and an HKM powered subwoofer to ensure every student could hear clearly and concentrate on the lesson.
